Deceit

I sometimes forget how Satan loves to deceit us. He is the master liar, and just looks for opportunities to confuse us and ruin relationships. He doesn't want us to be happy and trust in God. Often when he grabs a hold of us, we blame God for the trials and struggles we face. 'Why would God do this?' 'Where is he?' The truth is that he is always there and works everything out for good, even if we can't see it in the midst of our pain. In fact, we may never see what good comes out of trials, but we have to still trust him and love him.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
- Romans 8:38-39

Ugh! This only too true! Satan can't stand it when we glorify God in our relationships with one another, and he'll tell us any lies to separate us. Unfortunately, it can be so easy to believe his lies and forget God's promises. It seems like I'm seeing this everywhere, and it's so sad.

I'm happy to see you blogging! Just another way for Christians to connect and glorify our Father. So take that, Satan! ;o)

Hi, Kate!
I think you were reading my mind also with this blog. Yes, Satan is the father of all liars, and if there is one thing I have always hated, it is a LIAR!

I am new to the world of blogging. Your template has tempted me to try a new one, but I am "skeered" I will lose everything. LOL

You have a BEAUTIFUL baby! And (if I am reading blogs correctly), a VERY talented husband! He IS the one who sang with Nate on Sunday, right?

Nice to "meet" you. Hope to see you in church sometime.
