Threads and Other Thoughts

This past Saturday, the gym at FFC was transformed into a clothing store. It was the opening day for Threads. All items were free to anyone who came in and 11 families were able to take some of the clothes. Within these 11 families, 44 people received clothing that you all donated. Thanks so much for your donations and support.

If you're interested in help Threads, there are a few ways to do that. You can donate your gently used clothes anytime the church is open. We are also in need of hangers and plastic totes. And of course, you can give your time. Just leave a comment or email me at kcanady82@gmail.com with questions or comments.

Here are a couple of pictures from Saturday - for some reason they came out a little fuzzy, but you get the idea...

This has been a pretty productive Monday for me. Our ceramic stovetop cracked about a week and a half ago (it came with the house when we bought it), so our new one arrived today. It's not a ceramic top, but I'm still excited to have a brand new stove - can't wait to cook :) So I have swept and mopped the kitchen and am just about caught up on laundry. Feeling very 'housewifey.' I'm sure this productive streak is short lived, but I'll take advantage while it's here!
